Urjala is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region, near Forssa. The municipality has a population of 5,404 (31 March 2009)[2] and covers an area of 505.38 square kilometres (195.13 sq mi) of which 30.28 km2 (11.69 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 11.37 inhabitants per square kilometre (29.4 /sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

- Väinö Linna was born in Urjala, although he is most often referred to be from Tampere where he lived most of his adult life.
- The oldest glassblowing factory in Finland is located in the village of Nuutajärvi, Urjala.
- There has been thoughts of combining Urjala with Kylmäkoski. The combination would happen in 2011.
- Trains wont stop in Urjala anymore, because of lack of passengers.
