Nicolai Ouroussoff is the architecture critic for The New York Times,

He replaced the now-deceased Herbert Muschamp in 2004. He wrote The New York Times ' obituary for Muschamp in 2007. Previously, he had been the architecture critic for the Los Angeles Times. He was a nominated finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in 2004 for his work at the Los Angeles Times. He is married to the U.K.-born painter Cecily Brown.
