Matthew Dent (designer)

Matthew Dent (born in 1981 in Bangor, Wales) is a British graphic designer. His designs were selected, resulting from a public competition, to be featured on the new British coinage on 2 April 2008. His initials, "M.D.", can be seen embedded in the Shield's edge on most of the coins.
He studied art at Coleg Menai, and graduated in graphic design from the University of Brighton.[1]
