WARNING (applicable from 19th April 2009) In the past few weeks Inskip Point has been afflicted with an outbreak of paralysis ticks. These parasites are relatively harmless to adults, however caution should be taken with infants and children. It is strongly advised that no pets be exposed to these parasites as it is extremely deadly in almost all dog species. The council is currently taking steps to eradicate the infection, and further information will be posted when it is known.
