Franco Baldini is an Italian former footballer who is currently working as the General Manager under Fabio Capello in the England backroom staff.

Born in Reggello, Italy, Baldini played for Bari and Bologna.[1] He became director of football at A.S. Roma in 1999, where he remained until March 2005 when he resigned.[1] He joined Fabio Capello at Real Madrid in 2006.[1] When Capello took over as England manager in December 2007, Baldini became assistant manager.[2] His Role as General Manager doesn't involve coaching on the training pitch however his role involves scouting, line managing the support staff like the doctor, physiotherapist, masseurs and kit managers.[citation needed]
