- First Division – Everton win the 1914–15 title
- FA Cup – Sheffield United beat Chelsea 3–0.
- The outbreak of World War I means that first–class football is suspended at the end of the 1914–15 season, with many footballers signing up to fight for their country. The FA Cup and Football League are not contested, although regional leagues and cups are set up in their place.
